How to Install Claude Connectors
✅ Availability: Claude Pro+
Claude has extended Remote MCP support to Pro users. Custom connectors are available under the branding "custom connectors" and can be accessed through the settings page or menu of the Claude client.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Step 1: Access Custom Connectors
Navigate to your Claude client and access custom connectors through either:
- The settings page in your Claude account
- The menu of the Claude client interface

Step 2: View Current Connectors
Once in the integrations section, you'll be able to see:
- Your current connections
- Built-in integrations
- Options to add your own connectors

Step 3: Add New Connector
You'll be presented with a screen where you can add and connect to a Remote MCP server of your choice.

Step 4: OAuth Authentication (if required)
If the Remote MCP server requires authentication, you'll be guided through an OAuth flow to securely connect your accounts.

⚠️ Current Limitations
There is currently some buggy behavior for accessing streamable remote servers when OAuth protected. For now, it's recommended to stick to /see
endpoints for the most reliable experience.
Finding Remote MCP Servers
Before adding a custom connector, you'll need to find a Remote MCP server to connect to. You can discover available servers through:

Security & Control
Custom connectors are designed with security in mind. They use OAuth for authentication when required, allowing Claude to interact with applications securely without accessing your passwords. You maintain full control over permissions and can revoke access at any time.
